We are Mark and Kimberly, and our story first began in November 2006 through a mutual friend at a coffee shop in Timog, QC. Mark admittedly thought Kim was cute — especially her beautiful hair. What started as a simple friendship quickly turned into hours of phone calls, endless conversations, and a connection neither of us expected.
What began as a simple "Okay, let's try being together" slowly became a lifetime promise of love, partnership, and forever.
From that moment on, our lives became filled with shared adventures — long drives with no particular destination, spontaneous out-of-town trips, food trips, movie dates, massage dates, matching outfits, doing laundry together, cooking experiments, and quiet evenings filled with laughter and comfort in each other's company.
Nine years later, on a cold and drizzly afternoon at Victoria Peak in Hong Kong, Mark got down on one knee and asked Kim to marry him. Of course, Kim said yes. Soon after, we were married in a civil ceremony, beginning another beautiful chapter of our lives together.
Like any relationship, our journey was not always easy. We spent years navigating a long-distance relationship before finally being reunited and building our life together as husband and wife. Through every season — both joyful and difficult — we continued choosing one another, again and again.
One of the happiest moments of our lives was finding out we were expecting our first baby. Though we later experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage, our faith, love, and unwavering support for one another carried us through. Together, we continued to grow, pursue our dreams and careers, and stand side by side through every challenge life placed before us.
Holding tightly to Isaiah 60:22 — "When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen" — in God's perfect timing, we were blessed with our son, Marquin, now two years old and one of our greatest blessings.
Today, as we prepare to be married in church surrounded by the people we love most, we also celebrate another beautiful milestone — 20 years of partnership, growing together, and finding home in one another through every chapter of life.
As we stand on the edge of our greatest adventure yet, we look forward to continuing to write the rest of our story — hand in hand, side by side, and together forever.
